LARRY GRAHAM

Founder & Program Director

Larry Graham is the Founder and Program Director at Athletes Performance Enhancement--APE. He currently designs and develops programs for APE. His experience in fitness and sports training spans well over 20 years.


Larry is a Certified Personal Trainer who has coached and trained at the club, high school, and collegiate level. He has personally developed multiple collegiate and professionals athletes.

AMAR SOW

    Our lead trainer has a background in health and wellness and a passion for developing athletes to perform at their highest level. 


    He is a former Highland High School athlete who played football at the collegiate level attending NAU, Pima Community College, and U of A.

PARKER WAKELYN

    Parker is our Club Coordinator/ Trainer. He attained his bachelors in Exercise Science while he minored in Physical Therapy at the University of Mary. 

    While attaining his bachelors degree he played four years of collegiate baseball. Parker’s hobbies now include continued education while bettering his own fitness.

TRE BAKER

    Coach Trevon Baker is 23 years old and graduated from Williams Field High School in 2018 while playing football and running track. In 2020 he received his Associates in Arts Degree from CGCC. From there he studied 2 years at ASU and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Clinical Exercise Science. 


    He has been with APE for 3 years and trains our athletes with passion while developing their strength, speed, as well as engaging in their goals. 

ELIZABETH GONZALEZ

    Coach Gonzo is an NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Coach with specializations in Sports Nutrition, Corrective Exercise and Performance Enhancement. 


    She is currently a Physical Education teacher at Highland Junior High. Gonzo coaches girls basketball at Highland Junior and Highland High School. She has a passion for mentoring young student athletes and helping them to reach high levels of athletic and academic performance.

Coach Ryan Felker

Recruiting Consultant

    Ryan Felker spent the past 3 seasons as the offensive coordinator at Garden City Community College in Kansas.  In 2021 the Broncbusters finished with an 8-3 record and were the #9 Ranked Team in NJCAA.  The highlight of the season was an offensive explosion in the 2021 Scooter’s Bowl over Navarro College 53-34.  In fall of 2021 the high flying Broncbuster offense garnered numerous all conference awards and division one football offers, along with 1st Team All-American Isaiah Adams who signed with Illinois.  Statistically the Offense produced 4,583 yds 417 YPG 2675 Pass/1908 Rush 34 ppg 47 TDs, and was #1 in NJCAA 1st downs per game, 3rd down conversions & 4th down conversions.


    Felker went to Garden City after spending two seasons as the Head Coach and offensive coordinator at Gila River JC in Gilbert, AZ. There, he led the Hawks to a 6-0 mark in 2020 and a conference title while being named coach of the year. his team went 8-1 in 2019. 

    With 26 years of experience as a high school and collegiate coach, he previously spent seven seasons as the head coach at Mesa Community College (AZ) where he established a program that was one of the best in the country. He led the Thunderbirds to a 41-32 record, including four bowl appearances, the most noteworthy of which was a victory in 2016 over 10-0 Lackawanna (Pa.) College 48-42 in double-overtime to capture the Valley of the Sun Bowl title. Mesa was a regular fixture among the NJCAA polls during his tenure and finished fifth in 2016.

    Athletes who served under Felker received numerous honors and recognition as more than talented men, but they have also been recognized for their dedication and their pursuit of excellence. The success of Mesa and Gila River Football reflects the championship attitude that Felker instilled into his players and staff.


    Felker takes great pride in social coordination and community service.  While at Mesa, he worked to develop an elementary school reading program as well as Mesa’s annual “Friday Night Lights” with the City of Mesa Youth Sports.  During the 2015-2016 school year Mesa’s football program was presented with the “Team Community Service” award.


    In his career, Felker has been a coordinator at the collegiate level on both offense and defense, coaching DB’s and QB’s. He has coached 20 players to NFL opportunities, including 2015 first-round NFL Draft pick Damarious Randall. 25 others have made AAF, Canadian Football League and Arena Football League rosters. During his time, Felker coached the 2016 National Offensive Player of the year, QB Rathen Ricedorff, as well as 32 All-Americans, 220 players that have moved on to Division I schools and 417 have moved on to four-year institutions overall.

    Before joining Mesa, Felker coached at Scottsdale Community College, holding the positions of defensive coordinator and DB coach in 2011, as well as recruiting coordinator, in 2010.


    Previously, he served at Eastern Arizona College for two years as co-defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach. He also recruited Arizona for the Gila Monsters.


    In 2009 his EAC defense finished second in the nation statistically. Cornerback Prince Ryans earned first team All-American, All-Region and All-Conference honors and was the Western States Football Conference Defensive Player of the Year.


    In 2008 both of his starting cornerbacks received All-WSFL recognition with Jamaine Olson, receiving a full scholarship at Utah State.


    Prior to coaching in college, Felker coached high school for eight years, the last six of which as a head coach.


    He frequently speaks at clinics and works off-season football camps for major universities.

    Throughout his career, Felker has built many valuable relationships with coaches at every level. Additionally, Felker’s biggest strengths are recruiting and having strong Arizona ties.

    A former defensive back at Aurora University, Coach Felker has a bachelor’s degree in education from Arizona State University and has a Masters’ Degree in Technology from Northern Arizona University. He and his wife Regina have two children Brett, 23, and Chloe, 21.
